Optimising your landing page forms

Optimising your landing page forms

In this short video, I want to go through some simple steps you can use to optimize your forms on your landing pages when you are running adverts. So this is a technique you can use to encourage more people to engage with the form and therefore to get more people to fill the form in. So this could be for an initial consultation, a free consultation, refund of initial assessment.

Whatever your call to action is, we want to get the most people to fill in that form so that we’ve got their contact details. We can then contact them, drop them into a nurturing campaign.

This is for a free initial dental implant consultation. The actual details of this are not important. What I want to show you is how we’ve got the form set up. I want to show you three particular aspects of this form. The first thing is, Make sure you’ve got a specific call to action that the patient knows exactly what they’re going to get.

The next thing we want to do is we want to get the patient engaged with the process, rather than just say, fill in your details here. We want people to engage. We want them to start moving along a journey. Ask for something small first, and you’ll find that you get a better response. And we’re just going to ask them for a simple thing.

What would they like? Some help with a single missing tooth, three or more missing teeth. If this is for an Invisalign campaign, you may want to have, crooked teeth, gaps between my teeth, overbite, underbite, crossbite. If it’s cosmetic dentistry, you might wanna have brightening my teeth, cracks in my teeth.

Lots of different options that you can have, so get people engaged with the form. Now the next thing is we’re going to have a button down here that says next step. So we want people to go next step, next step. So we’ve got people engaged, next step. We’re then going to say when would you like us to contact you.

This is important because most practices contact patients during the day, but the patients are often at work. So let’s ask the patient, that’s the first thing, but we’re also getting patients into this Next step. Next step. So then we’re going to ask for the patient’s name, for their email address, and for their phone number, and again, we’ve got next step.

Next step. And of course, when they click on next step, this time the form is submitted. They go through to the thank you page. It triggers often an SMS message to say, thank you. We’re going to get back to you. It should always trigger an email that says we’ll get back to you. They should then drop into your contact relationship management system to make sure that you follow up that patient.

And it should drop into a nurturing system, which engages with that patient over an extended period of time, typically up to one year, because remember, these people are filling in forms, but it may be that not quite ready yet. They’re just thinking about it. And if we nurture that enquiry, that’s how we get the highest number of conversions in the long term.

So let me know what you think about setting up your forms like that.
